Look and Feel as Beautiful as YOU are!


There is nothing wrong with wanting to look and feel good.

Sometimes making yourself feel beautiful inside is the key to a fabulous you on the outside! Giving yourself credit for your hard work is a way to one’s perspective and direct our attention to a different point of view. While outer changes or material items are enjoyable, truly feeling better about how you look requires showing your self some love on the inside first.

Honor Your Body and Take Good Care of It

By making a concerted effort to provide your body with the good things it needs and to take care of it, you cannot even begin to imagine how much better you will feel about yourself and how you look even if it is the same as you always have been. Proper nutrition and exercise are the cornerstones; make a list of all the things you want to do to take better care of your temple and make sure to work them into your daily schedule.

Focus on What is Good, Not What You Lack

When it comes to evaluating our appearance, we often draw our attention to the things we do not like—the nose we wish were smaller, the breasts we wish were bigger, the thighs we wish were slimmer. We experience so much negative emotion around these things that we greatly overestimate how happy it would make us if these features were more to our liking; but if your cellulite was gone tomorrow, you may have a boost in confidence while walking around the beach, but it will not be your key to happiness. Instead, focus on what you like about your body—maybe you have great eyes, a mega-watt smile or killer legs. No one is a perfect physical specimen; by drawing your attention to the good things, you will feel better, see yourself in a more attractive light and ease up on the self-criticism.

Focus on Your Inner Beauty

What radiates from the inside can impact what you see on the outside. Think of people you know that are exceptionally caring or kind…they just seem more physically attractive don’t they? We all have our strong points, things that make us good people in our own individual way.
Try this: Take the time to write down all the things that make you beautiful on the inside or snap an Instagram photo of yourself when you are having a great day and share it to your friends and family; you will see how many admirers love you for you!

Tend to Your Mental Health

Taking care of your mind is probably the most important thing you can do for overall well-being since how you think will impact your thoughts, perceptions, habits and behaviors. When you feel good on the inside, everything on the outside will look better, including you. Do things that make you happy; stress management should be a top priority since unhealthy stress levels lead to poor decisions and skewed perspectives that can affect your positive choices.
