Stunning Hair and Makeup for Breast Cancer Awareness

With a message of hope and optimism, THE SALON at ULTA Beauty Artistic Team proudly unveils an inspirational collection of alluring new looks. Each offers a courage-filled and cure-bent vision in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For this series, the talented Artistic Team went for an eclectic mix of textures, shapes and finishes for the hair and makeup. The appeal is inherently refined and nothing less than fabulously feminine.

Swept Away

The Hair: A somewhat gamine hairstyle circa 1980 is turned ultra-feminine through the use of pastel color accents and a flutter of curl through the heavy, side-swept fringe.

The Makeup: A  smokey eye is outlined with a sparkling plum, contoured with cocoa brown and highlighted at the brow bone with a creamy vanilla. A full lip in a deep fuchsia shade complements the overall palette, adding emphasis to her strong features.

Mirrored Musing

The Hair: This short version of the pixie pays homage to the classic Twiggy hairstyle of the early 60’s. Worn smooth and slightly longer on top, this timeless cut is accented with a splash of pink at the root, which offers a thoroughly modern twist and an air of womanly confidence.

The Makeup: An all-pink palette adds a very soft feminine touch and nicely accents the splash of color in the hair. The eyes offer a shimmer of pink and vanilla tones and are well lined for a slight 60’s twiggy tie-in. The blushing cheeks bring out a youthful exuberance and liveliness that matches her smile and rosy lips.

Seeing Forward

The Hair: This mid length hairstyle offers all-over fullness and volume for a robust shape. Internally, layers and wisps of bright pink add both dimension and movement evoking some serious sex appeal.

The Makeup: A perky pink pout accents the flutter of the color wandering through the ends of the hair while a softer pink adds color and dimension to the cheeks. For the eyes, the lids were done with a fluid line along the lashes, and contoured with a tawny birch and cool beige. A matte vanilla underneath the brow enhances the perfect frame for these glamorous eyes.

Reflective Qualities

The Hair: This glamorous hairstyle mixes an “Old Hollywood” finish with a very modern pop of color to make a bold statement. A robust outline is accented with all-over fullness with a swooped wave.

The Makeup: Gilded shades of champagne and deep bronze outline the eye, creating a soft shimmer. Bold, natural brows are brushed into shape and accented by some longer lashes to balance, but not steal the show. The lip is accented with a pop of pink and topped with gloss for a glassy effect.

Conjuring Hope

The Hair:  A towering twister of frothy pink and purple tones, this overstated shape is a very modern version of a 60’s inspired Beehive.

The Makeup: Lighter pinks swipe softly across the eyelids while an ultra-fine line traces the top of the eye. It is all tied together with a bold pink brow and lengthy, fawny lashes.

Ignition

The Hair: This honey-toned length spans from darker roots and flows outward into a free-flowing shape.

The Makeup: A rose pink lip is balanced with shades of soft lavender and sparkling white gold for the eyes. The delicate smoky eye is accented with flirty lashes and a hint of highlight at the outer brow line. Lastly, a touch of petal pink adds a healthy hint of color at the cheekbones.
