Self-Care: It’s Not What You’re Eating, It’s How You’re Eating

Nutritionist Shira Lenchewski has been in the business long enough to have figured out that it’s not what you’re eating, it’s how you’re eating. Or to put it another way, for so many of us, just the idea of a healthier diet conjures up emotions that are far from “self-caring” -stress, anxiety, guilt, resistance- which aren’t the paths to a healthy lifestyle or weight-loss. Too many people (especially women) put everyone else before themselves, seeing prioritizing their needs as selfish or indulgent, when the opposite is true- making sure your needs are met first is the foundation of serving others.
