The Super Salve Co. Mimosa Blossom Dream Cream
Say what you want about Kylie Jenner, but there’s no denying the girl is straight up gorgeous. And although a lot of that is thanks to surgical enhancement, obviously the flawless skin is all hers (unless replacing the skin on your face is a new treatment only celebs and the one-percenters are privy to, in which case we want in). So when Kylie released her entire beauty routine in this article, we damn near lost our minds, because ladies, that porcelain skin is maintained in the the least Kylie Jenner-way we ever would have expected: with a 100% natural product made in small batches by a clinical herbologist in New Mexico, and it retails for under $7. Like, what?! What is happening?!
The company is The Super Salve Co., and Kylie’s face moisturizer of choice is called Mimosa Blossom Dream Cream (for skin and body). Upon first glance, the packaging is what you’d expect for a small, all-natural producer: a white, plastic bottle. But the label was cute, adorned with turquoise flowers. I nearly dropped the container I was so eager to unscrew it and see what was inside. I half-expected a Tyga song to start playing and tiny little gangster fairies to fly out and give me a luxe facial, because I was still in such disbelief that King Kylie would ever let some average $7 cream touch her pores (if she even has pores). But instead, I found a light yellow cream inside that was so rich, I wanted to dive in head-first and let it coat my entire body. I didn’t though, but only because I can’t fit inside the bottle, so I patiently waited until after my evening face wash to begin my journey with the Dream Cream.
As far as its scent goes, I’ve drank enough mimosas in my lifetime to know that the Mimosa Blossom name is completely accurate. It has a light, crisp, citrusy scent. The texture is super creamy and rich. As someone who is breakout prone, I’ll admit I was a little nervous it was going to climb inside my pores and live there, but I have yet to experience any pore blockage. (Note: I only use it at night, because I think it’s a bit too heavy to use under makeup.) A little bit goes a long way, and its creaminess gives it a super luxurious feel. It slathers on like a dream, and my dry skin eats it up. I even slather it on my lips sometimes. Speaking of, every night that I use it, I rush to the mirror in the morning just to see if for some reason I also have plumper Kylie-like lips. No such luck (yet, anyways), but my skin truly does look calmer, dewier, and more radiant after using this. And it’s easy to see why…
100% Natural, Organic Fair Trade, Chemical-Free, Cruelty-Free, and Paraben-Free, this stuff is a rainbow of beautifying nutrients that will improve tone, vitality, and radiance. It’s crazy hydrating, good for fading wrinkles and scars, and boasts cell rejuvenation.
Overall, I think Kylie deserves some realness points for using Dream Cream, and I think this is one of the few things she does that is safe and morally sound enough for females of all ages to copy. (Oops, did I say that?) And even if you don’t think a heavy cream like this would work for your skin type, I still think you’ll love using it as a body cream, especially with winter coming up (use on post-shower damp skin to lock in the moisture). And dude, it’s only $6.95…so buy your Mimosa Blossom Dream Cream here.
NOTE: It’s so natural that you must treat it like a food: keep it cool or refrigerated, or it can go bad.
