First Impressions

Finally, a drugstore cheapie to love. I’m not sure where Revlon’s Colorstay Eyeliner has been my whole life but I can’t believe I’ve never used this one before. Maybe I’ve spent too much time trying to perfect the messy nightmare that is Benefit’s They’re Real! Push Up Liner (yeah I said it), but no more! This is my new ride-or-die eyeliner and it costs the same as 2 runs to Starbucks.

This one is easily comparable to Urban Decay’s 24/7 eyeliner (which I’m also a big fan of), but much cheaper ($8 vs. Urban Decay’s $20), glides on easier, and has just as great of a color payoff, although not near as wide of a color range. The color I’ve been using for the past few weeks is Sapphire, a deep bold royal blue that I’m borderline obsessed with.

Its outside the box-ish color is edgy without being crazy, and it makes eyes look brighter and more awake (especially when paired with the espresso shots from those Starbucks runs). Like Urban Decay’s pricier product, Revlon’s is easy to smudge into a smoky eye with the built in smudger. After the 30 second window that it takes to set, it’s not going anywhere.
