Editor’s Picks: The Best Moisture Repair for Hair

To keep your tresses looking their very best this season, amp up the moisture in your hair care routine. Here are some of our favorite moisturizing measures to ensure that your hair stays healthy and hydrated.

Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Wash
This super smoothing and hydrating wash is packed with vitamins, essential oils, hydrolyzed silk extracts and kakadu plum, which stimulates production of elastin and collagen to help maintain hair’s luster and elasticity. It gives your strands a healthy glow and halts moisture loss.

Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Shampoo
One of a four part deep hydrating system, this shampoo gently cleanses and moisturizes dry, brittle hair with a delicate bergamot, lavender and ginger lily scent. A patented deep-moisture complex, which includes buriti oil, helps hydrate hair and leaves it soft, supple and shiny.

KMS MoistRepair Shampoo
This moisture rich shampoo works to restore and balance moisture levels in the hair. Vanilla fruit extract, aloe vera extract, avocado oil soothe and moisturize. Damaged strands are fortified and nourished and hair is left healthy, silky soft and glossy.

Verb Hydrating Conditioner
A deeply enriching and restorative formula that is built for dried out tresses. Keratin is the driving ingredient, working with quinoa and a complex blend of 18 other proteins to shield the hair shaft from damage caused by thermal tools and the elements.

ENJOY Hydrating Conditioner
Designed to hydrate coarse, curly or overly dry hair, this conditioner also detangles and eliminates frizz. Wheat amino acids attract and lock in moisture to the hair shaft while hydrolyzed soy protein acts as a smoothing and moisturizing agent. Avocado oil smoothes hair, locks in moisture and works as a natural detangler.

Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque
This rich treatment deeply moisturizes and repairs hair, while providing a protective barrier from extreme temperatures. It’s ideal to hydrate over-processed, dry, brittle or damaged hair. Sea kelp trace minerals detoxify hair while argan oil restores shine and rebuilds hair elasticity. Shea butter deeply moisturizes and repairs damage to hair and scalp.

ColorProof DeepQuench Moisture Masque
This rich masque is specifically designed to infuse moisture deep into the hair shaft. It hydrates, nourishes and repairs, all while prolonging color life. Geranium extract works as an astringent while soybean protein conditions and moisturizes.

Bain de Terre Coconut Papaya Ultra Hydrating Balm
A deep penetrating balm, this ultra hydrating conditioner transforms overly dry, damaged hair with lasting shine and silky softness. It is infused with nourishing coconut and papaya oils plus argan and monoi oils that lavish hair in silky perfection.

Adding Thermal Dynamics
Take your conditioning treatments to the next level by adding heat. After lathering up and rinsing, add your conditioning treatment and allow it to set for several minutes to absorb into your hair. If conditioning in the shower, let the steam work for you or even add a hot towel to intensify the process. For deep treatments, step out of the shower and towel blot to remove the moisture. Slather conditioner on your damp strands, cover your hair with a plastic cap (like a one-use shower cap) to protect it and then add heat for 3-5 minutes. Your blow dryer is ideal or even a hood dryer, if you have one.
