The Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa is an oceanfront hotel with spectacular views of Waikiki beach.
Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa is a peaceful retreat from the stresses of the everyday world. Dubbed “The First Lady of Waikiki”, this grand hotel first opened its doors in 1901. After several renovations, including a recent $20 million dollar rejuvenation project, over one hundred years later the Moana remains the premier destination for Waikiki travelers.
In addition to spacious and newly renovated guest rooms and suites, as well as new penthouse suites, the beachfront property also offers a new club lounge, freshwater swimming pool, three restaurants, beach bar, and poolside snack bar. The serene spa features an enticing menu of treatments and services all designed to pamper and invigorate while a 1,400 square foot workout facility is the ideal gym away from home.
Relax
The Banyan Courtyard invites guests to relax under the shade of the hotel’s historic banyan tree. When planted in 1904 by Jared Smith, Director of the Department of Agriculture Experiment Station, the Indian banyan tree was nearly seven feet tall and about seven years old. It now stands 75 feet high and spans 150 feet across the picturesque courtyard. At night, guests can enjoy entertainment in the courtyard including live performances, hula dancers and an elevating atmosphere.
Dine
From sublime fine dining menus to sumptuous afternoon tea, the Moana promises that every meal will be as memorable as the surrounding Victorian elegance. From traditional Hawaiian cuisine and contemporary island favorites to fresh seafood and American classics, there are plenty of options to satisfy every craving.
Indulge
Guests can spend quiet days poolside at the Moana or take part in the unlimited excitement including world-class shopping, dining, and cultural entertainment that awaits mere steps from the front door. The beach itself offers limitless water sports and recreational activities, and many of O’ahu’s most popular destinations are within walking distance of the hotel.
