Due in late summer, Extra star Mario Lopez and wife Courtney Mazza are expecting their second child together! The couple currently have a lovely daughter Gia  born in September 2010 and their one of a kind french bulldog, Julio Cesar Chavez Lopez.

Too cute to handle?

Extra broke the news of the pregnancy with a surprise baby shower for the two! Little Gia appeared holding a sign that read, “I’m gonna be a big sister.”

At Health Beauty Life, our very own publisher/host Patrick Dockry sat down with Mario and family this past summer, prior to their December wedding in Mexico. The couple was truly so ecstatic to start their lives. When asked by Patrick about his life at home and spanish influence, Mario replied, “…I get to play with Gia, and we all eat breakfast together, and I’m usually home in time to tuck her in. On the rare times that I do get to hang out here, I like to chill out and be still. Again, that’s rare. I definitely want to make the most of it when I do get the chance to just hang out. I love being home with friends and family, entertaining, hosting dinner parties with carne asada bar-b-que. Good friends and food is very much my favorite way of hanging out and entertaining.”  Mario and Courtney are truly a special family and it shows.

According to USA Today, Mario explained on his set of Extra, “I am the happiest father in the world,” he said. “We cannot wait to welcome Baby Lopez #2 into our lives.” We could not be happier for them!
